So…you’re in a hard season.

In fact, it might feel like every season of motherhood, or life in general, is a hard season.

You’re in a season of motherhood with limited time, resources, space, and more. Tantrums may be at their highest and sleep at its lowest. You have huge dreams and desires that you are itching to scratch, yet the season of motherhood you’re in smacks you right in the face when you’re met with a meltdown every time you think you have a moment alone.

Or, you may be in a season where finances are tight and marital tensions are rising. Or, maybe you’re in a season of battling health issues.

Right now, if you’re reading this during the Coronavirus pandemic, we’re all in an extremely difficult season of isolation, economic uncertainty, resources and outlets we could once rely on that are now gone, and that very real concern of the dangers of COVID-19.

So, how do you accept the season that you’re in and stay CONTENT in the season you’re in while being hopeful and expectant for your next season? Is it possible to do both? Or, does staying content require you to not even focus on the next season? What does even mean to be content in the Biblical sense?

How to stay content AND faithfully expectant

In this episode of the Mission Motherhood Podcast, we’re talking about what we can do to stay content in our challenging season, how we can make our challenging season still work for us, and what we can do to be hopeful and expectant for the next season God has promised us without idolizing it and remaining faithful in the current season.

In this episode you’ll learn how to:

  • Receive God’s grace and allow His grace to be made perfect in your weakness

  • Shift your mindset to understand that every season, whether a sowing season or a harvest season, has it’s challenges.

  • Plant seeds in your current season to set yourself up for the harvest of your next season

Staying content in your challenging season doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be hopeful, faithful, and expectant for your next season. In fact, practicing contentment can even mean faithfully sowing those seeds before you see the harvest or any growth whatsoever.

Dive into today's episode to learn more and be encouraged in whatever season you find yourself in.

Also, I want to hear from you! What season do you find yourself in right now? What is one thing you’re doing in your current season to prepare yourself of the next season? Drop a note in the comments!
